How are Floralscapes™ created?
Designs created by corporate sponsors and Greenroad Media are approved by the state department of transportation. The designs are then converted into “living pixels” and planting modules using a patent-pending technology. Floralscapes™ are assembled off-site, then transported to the site and installed in a matter of hours. They are carefully maintained by local contractors.
Are the Floralscapes™ environmentally-friendly products?
Yes. Greenroad Media is an eco-friendly partner that employs organic and reusable materials, as well as reclaimed water and solar electricity.
Where does Greenroad Media have Agreements to install Floralscapes?™
Through agreements with state governments, Greenroad Media has secured prime highway locations in California and in Texas. Agreements with several additional states are expected soon.
How do the unique public-private partnerships created by Greenroad Media benefit local economies & taxpayers?
Floralscapes™ are comprised of flowers purchased from local nurseries. The assembly, installation and maintenance are also contracted to local firms, benefiting the regional economy. Greenroad Media assists in reducing expenditures by the state through monies paid to the DOT for the benefit of the use of the ROW or through the assumption of maintenance responsibilities for a specific ROW area.
Are company logos or names incorporated into Floralscape™ highway designs?
No. The Floralscape™ product fully conforms to regulations of Federal Adopt-a-Highway program. Federal rules, under the Highway Beautification Act, preclude corporate names or logos to be part of Floralscape designs. The sponsor’s name and logo are featured in an accompanying sponsor recognition sign.
